Conditions Treated

Brain Treatment Center Newport Beach treats a wide range of neurological and mental health conditions. Below are some of the most common conditions we address, with links to individual pages for more detailed information.

MeRT® (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy) is an emerging, EEG-guided approach designed to support brain function and communication. The equipment used in treatment is FDA-cleared for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). When used for other conditions, treatment is considered off-label.

For patients with Major Depressive Disorder, we also offer FDA-approved rTMS therapy as a treatment option.

At our clinic, MeRT may be used as part of an individualized care plan for conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, anxiety, and other neurological conditions.

Insurance & Coverage

Brain Treatment Center Newport Beach is an in-network provider with TRICARE for FDA-approved rTMS therapy. Coverage eligibility depends on your specific TRICARE plan, diagnosis, and medical necessity.

For all other insurance plans, we are considered out of network and do not submit claims on a patient’s behalf. At the conclusion of treatment, we can provide documentation that you may submit to your insurance carrier to inquire about possible reimbursement.

Currently, rTMS is FDA-approved for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Treatment for other conditions is considered off-label, and insurance reimbursement for off-label treatment is unlikely.

Some patients report partial reimbursement for diagnostic services such as EEGs or clinical evaluations; however, reimbursement varies by plan and is not guaranteed.

At this time, we are unable to accept Medicare or Medicaid patients at our clinic.
